A gold color metal and enamel device, 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in width, consisting of a gold mountain, snowcapped white, encircled at bottom by a red bipartite red scroll doubled and inscribed "SERVICE" at top and "SUPPORT" at bottom in gold letters.
Buff/gold and scarlet are the colors traditionally used by Support units. The mountain represents the strong base of support and alludes to the Rocky Mountains, highlighting the home of the unit.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 14 Apr 2000.
